Community Liason Group

The Community Liaison Group (CLG) was first established in Spring 2022, following the success of our October 2021 workshops, to help shape the vision for the new settlement. Since then, the CLG has continued to play an important role in guiding the project as it has evolved.

The group brings together representatives from the parishes of Stoney Stanton, Sharnford, Elmesthorpe, Sapcote, Burbage, Croft, and Aston Flamville. Members meet regularly to:

• Share insights on the current and future needs of local communities.

• Advise on engagement strategies to ensure the community’s voice is heard at every stage.

• Provide feedback on the emerging masterplan, vision, and design principles.

• Help define the identity and character of the new settlement.

Over the past three years, the CLG has provided a consistent forum for discussion and collaboration. Updates, surveys, and meeting summaries are shared to ensure transparency and wider community involvement.

The group is chaired by Sharon Scott (Sapcote) with Becky Roper (Elmesthorpe) as Vice Chair, supported by all members working collectively to represent their communities.
